Liver function test abnormality is a common clinical situation, in case of delay in early diagnosis and treatment it can end up with severe morbidity and even mortality. The important points in approach to the patient with liver function abnormality are; the duration of liver function abnormality, the degree of liver function test elevation, the reversibility, the other accompanying biochemical test abnormalities, alcohol and drug use history, history of previous jaundice and all the patients should be evaluated according to their age groups separately.
