Aims and Scope

The Journal of Turkish Family Physician (e-ISSN 2148-550X) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed scientific journal, being published regularly since 2010. The journal is published online only, four times per year, bilingual in Turkish and English and no article submission or publication charges requested. The abbreviation of the Journal is TJTFP.

The Journal of Turkish Family Physician publishes original research articles, clinical case reports, review articles, articles that will contribute to continuing medical education, short reports, editorials, letters to the editor, translations of important international documents and abstracts concerning family medicine and primary care, healthcare services, medical education, and research methodology.

The aim of the Journal is to make contribution to the academic development of Family Medicine as well as to the academic development of the other health providers working in primary care such as nurses, midwifes, dieticians and psychologists and social workers in Turkey. TJTFP aims also to strengthen primary care in the world by publishing primary care research that encompass epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, patient health education and chronic disease management, dealing with multimorbidity, palliative care, inter-professional collaboration, quality and safety.
