A child patient, prediagnosible of acute abdomen and diagnosed with MIS-C: A Case report
We are still battling a pandemic caused by Coronavirus 2. During the course of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, reports of a new multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children have been increasing in the World. Early in the pandemic, children were less affected. It was known that this disease progressed with a mild clinical course compared to adults. It was observed that over time, it appeared with more severe clinical pictures. In some children, especially in European countries, resistant fever, abdominal pain, skin rashes, myocardial involvement, pericardial effusion, heart failure and even shock have been reported. This newly identified disease was named Multiple Systemic Inflammatory Syndrome. In the case, the patient was examined in the outpatient clinic many times with complaints of abdominal pain, diarrhea and dizziness. The patient did not benefit from the treatments given. Finally, a case diagnosed with Multiple Systemic Inflammatory Syndrome in our hospital was examined. In this case report, it is aimed to increase the awareness of physicians against these newly defined serious diseases.
