Abstract
References

Being able to treat and managing followup in primary care of dyslipidemia which is one of the coronary artery disease risk factors will contribute to both prevention of loss of workforce and reduction in the cost of health care spending. Treatment of dyslipidemia includes lifestyle changes, diet, medical treatment and treatment of secondary causes. To reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, the treatment should be continued lifelong. Identifing individuals who are at risk, monitoring patients’ lipid levels to be kept between the target values, requires an individualized and a holistic approach of family medicine.
