Abstract
References

The etiology of aging is unclear, but there are many theories mentioned. It is not possible to explain the aging process only by biological fundamentals. Cognitive and psychological changes are experienced in natural process of aging, as well as physical changes. Individual’s prior cognitive status, knowledge and experiences throughout his/her lifespan should be considered in assessment. Although aging is a difficult period the provision of psychosocial support can minimize the problems experienced.
